Steel-Line founded in Brisbane by Bob Kurzok.
1981
Manufacturing operations commence in Brisbane.
1987
Steel-Line begins interstate operations, opening a Victorian office.
1990
Steel-Line steadily expands, supported by a local following in the builder market.
2000
HIA awarded Steel-Line Garage Doors Best New Product of The Year for its unique Fingerproof™ design.
2002
Bob Kurzok forms the Australian Garage Door Association as the industry body to develop and ensure quality standards.
2007
Steel-Line acquired by Crescent Capital Partners.
2008
Major expansion of distribution network to provide national coverage including the acquisition of Perth Windsor Doors.
2010
$10m factory upgrade capex project completed resulting in best-in-class manufacturing and significant additional capacity at the Brisbane factory.
2015
Steel-Line Group acquires Dynamic Door Service.
2017
Perth Windsor Doors renamed to Steel-Line Garage Doors WA.
2017
Steel-Line became the leading garage door manufacturer and distributor in Australia.
2018
Steel-Line Group acquired by Japanese company, Bunka Shutter Co. Ltd and BX Bunka Australia formed.
2019
Arco Architectural Systems and Retrotech acquired by BX Bunka Australia.
2022
Max Door Solutions acquired by BX Bunka Australia.
2023
Sprint Roller Shutters and Doorworks acquired by BX Bunka Australia.
2024
Tom Moore & Son acquired and incorporated into the Steel-Line business to expand the branch network.
2025
Steel-Line invests in a fully automated Roller Door line. Arco Architectural Systems and Max Door Solutions move into custom built office and factory.
